Dr. Hazem El Hamzawy is a Glaucoma & Cataract Surgery Consultant with over 31 years of experience, and currently the Medical Director of Magrabi Eye Center in Morjan, Jeddah. And head of cataract and glaucoma unit in Magrabi Group  He started his career with Magrabi Hospitals & Centres back in 1993.  He served successfully huge number of Glaucoma & Cataract patients in outpatient as well as surgical cases (more than 30,000).  As Head of Cataract Surgery & Glaucoma Unit, he trained numerous Fellows under his strict supervision in the field of Glaucoma & Cataract Surgery.  He is very keen on the new advanced surgical treatments for glaucoma & cataract and to improve the quality of life of patients.  

Dr. Hazem is one of the eminent figures in the ophthalmology field in the middle east , he was one of the 1st doctor who interduce the phacoemulsification technique for cataract extraction in Saudi Arabia. He did alot of lectures and courses in many international meetings.
